As we continue to grow our regional footprint, we are seeking a driven, well-connected sales professional to champion our brand across one of the most dynamic spirits markets in the country.
Position Summary
This field-based role is responsible for developing and growing Forbidden Bourbon’s presence across an eight-state territory (AL, MS, GA, FL, SC, NC, KY, TN), with flexibility to support additional states as needed. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the three-tier distribution system, a passion for craft spirits, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Account Management
•  Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales strategy aligned with company revenue goals and brand positioning.
•  Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and on/off-premise accounts throughout the eight-state territory.
•  Identify and secure new on-premise (bars, restaurants, hotels) and off-premise (liquor stores, grocery, big-box) accounts.
•  Conduct regular market visits, product presentations, and staff training events to drive brand awareness and sales velocity.
•  Meet and exceed volume, revenue, and distribution targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
•  Monitor competitive activity, pricing, and market trends; provide timely and actionable feedback to the leadership team.
Distributor Relations & Management
•  Serve as the primary contact for regional distributor partners; develop joint business plans, programming, and incentive programs.
•  Conduct regular business reviews with distributor management to align on goals and market execution.
•  Ensure proper product placement, pricing, and promotional activity at retail and on-premise accounts.
•  Train and motivate distributor sales representatives on Forbidden Bourbon’s product portfolio, brand story, and selling points.
Brand Advocacy & Events
•  Represent Forbidden at trade shows, tastings, festivals, and industry events; plan and execute consumer activations and brand ambassador programs.
•  Develop and maintain a network of brand advocates, mixologists, and influencers to amplify brand visibility.
•  Collaborate with the marketing team to localize national campaigns and execute market-specific initiatives.
Reporting & Administration
•  Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activity, account calls, pipeline, and market intelligence.
•  Prepare and submit regular sales reports, expense reports, and forecasts to leadership.
•  Manage regional T&E budget responsibly and in accordance with company policy.
•  Provide input on product development, pricing strategy, and promotional planning based on regional market insights.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
•  Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry (spirits, wine, or beer); experience in the distilled spirits category strongly preferred.
•  Deep knowledge of the three-tier distribution system and on/off-premise sales dynamics.
•  Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and growing market share.
•  Established relationships with distributors and key accounts in one or more states within the territory.
•  Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
•  Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
•  Proficiency with CRM software and standard Microsoft Office / Google Workspace applications.
•  Must be 21 years of age or older.
•  Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel extensively (up to 70%) throughout the eight-state territory and beyond.
•  Candidates must reside within the territory, with a strong preference for those based in a major metropolitan hub such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, or Orlando. Exceptional candidates in other locations within the territory will be considered.
Preferred:
•  Experience with craft, premium, or luxury spirits brands.
•  Existing relationships with distributors and key accounts in the Southeast territory.
•  Experience managing and motivating a distributor sales team.
•  Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
•  WSET or other recognized spirits education/certification.
•  Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Physical Requirements
•  Ability to travel by car and air frequently throughout the multi-state territory.
•  Must be able to lift and carry cases of product (up to 40 lbs.) during market visits and events.
•  Ability to stand for extended periods during events and trade shows.
•  Comfortable working evenings and weekends as required by market schedules and events.
