Temporary Production Crew

Summary
The Production Crew rotates between cellar and packaging responsibilities, depending on production demands. This role is ideal for employees who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy variety in their work, and are looking to develop leadership and technical skillsacross winemaking and packaging functions. Production Crew are
essential to building a more agile, collaborative production team.

Reports to: Rotating between Packaging & Cellar Supervisor (see below)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is an up to 40 hour schedule, with 4x10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, on varying shifts. Overtime and weekend work may be required seasonally and/or without notice depending on circumstance or production needs.

Key Responsibilities
Cellar Operations
•  Follow cellar SOPs for safety, sanitation, and product quality.
•  Maintain a tidy and clean cellar.
•  Support non-harvest cellar activities including but not limited to tank cleaning, racking, blending, transfers, barrel topping and maintenance, additions.
•  Operate pumps, filters (e.g., Winetech, Della Toffola, RDV) and forklifts.

Packaging Operations
•  Operate canning/bottling equipment and forklifts and support bulk wine transfers.
•  Ensure quality control of materials and packaging specs.
•  Record all movement of product using production software on handheld device.
•  Record daily production and QA data accurately and timely.
•  Conduct CIP and verify sanitation with test kits.

Warehouse Operations
•  Fulfill daily orders, from preparation to shipment, including associated NS/WMS transactions.
•  Ensure daily deliveries are inspected for accuracy and loaded/unloaded in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
•  Organize warehouse space and make sure product is put away and stored appropriately, including performing associated transactions in NS/WMS.
•  Perform cycle counts.
•  Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat. Sweep, dust, and mop.
•  Maintain orderliness in the warehouse and work area at all times.
•  Act as backup for Fulfillment Coordinator, and when doing so determine packaging requirements and use appropriate package materials and ship items.

Flex-Specific Expectations
•  Rotate between facilities with short notice.
•  Maintain readiness for reassignments during production peaks.
•  Support onboarding of new team members across both functions.

Rotational Oversight Structure
•  Primary Supervision: Alternates between Cellar and Packaging
Supervisors according to the seasonal schedule.
•  Daily Task Direction: Given by the department lead where work is assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
•  Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and in varied weather conditions.
•  Valid driver’s license and capacity to learn to forklift.
•  Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
•  Time spent in cellar or packaging environments.
•  Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.

Compensation & Recognition
•  Production Operators may receive higher base pay than single-
function roles.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently
exposed to changes in temperature, indoor and outdoor weather
conditions, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and
vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can
be loud.

Physical Demands
•  Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
•  Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs. occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
•  Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
•  Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
•  Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
