Gary Farrell Winery has spent more than four decades exploring the ridgelines and vineyards of the Russian River Valley in pursuit of exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Today, we are evolving how we connect with customers—building deeper relationships, strengthening our digital presence, and expanding the Gary Farrell story across both direct-to-consumer and national markets.
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to help lead that next phase of growth.
This role sits at the center of Gary Farrell’s marketing efforts—bringing together brand storytelling, customer engagement, and integrated campaigns that drive revenue across loyalty programs, e-commerce, hospitality, and wholesale channels. Working closely with the Director of Consumer Sales & Marketing, the Marketing Manager will translate strategic priorities into action—owning marketing initiatives from concept through execution and performance.
This is a high-impact role within a small, collaborative team. The Marketing Manager will serve as the central driver of marketing efforts, leading projects end-to-end and ensuring ideas are effectively brought to life across all channels.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing programs and campaigns that drive growth across Gary Farrell’s direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels
• Own and manage the winery’s marketing calendar, bringing campaigns to life from initial concept through execution and performance analysis
• Drive marketing initiatives end-to-end, balancing creative thinking with hands-on execution across digital, hospitality, and trade channels
• Drive the evolution of Gary Farrell’s loyalty and recurring revenue programs to align with modern-day consumer behaviors and industry trends
• Provide guidance and support to the Wine Club & Events Coordinator to ensure smooth execution of loyalty and experiential marketing initiatives
• Manage digital marketing channels including email, website content, and social media
• Develop compelling brand storytelling that highlights Gary Farrell’s sense of exploration and Russian River Valley legacy
• Create marketing tools and storytelling that support wholesale partners and national sales efforts
• Track campaign performance and continuously refine initiatives to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
WHO YOU ARE
• You are a marketer who enjoys owning your work from start to finish
• You are comfortable taking an idea, shaping it into a plan, and executing it with attention to detail and follow-through
• You enjoy both the creative and operational sides of marketing and take pride in seeing your work drive real results
• You thrive in a small, collaborative environment where you can have meaningful impact—and you’re excited by the opportunity to be deeply involved in all aspects of marketing, rather than specializing in just one area
• You think in terms of campaigns and outcomes, not just tasks—and you understand how marketing connects to revenue, customer relationships, and brand growth
WHAT YOU BRING
• 3–6 years of marketing experience in wine or premium consumer brands
• Prior experience managing or mentoring team members, or readiness to step into a people leadership role
• Experience executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital and experiential channels
• Strong writing and storytelling skills with attention to brand voice
• Strong understanding of both wholesale and direct-to-consumer wine sales including loyalty programs, e-commerce, and hospitality-driven acquisition
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where both creativity and execution matter
WHY GARY FARRELL
• We believe great wine is about place, people, and curiosity. This role offers the opportunity to help shape how that story is told—while contributing to a growing, evolving business that values both craftsmanship and forward-thinking ideas.
• Work with an admired brand—Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley with deep heritage and a loyal fan base.
• Work directly with winery leadership in a collaborative environment where your voice matters.
• Grow with a culture rooted in curiosity, commitment, and delight—recently recognized as one of the North Bay Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work."
COMPENSATION & LOCATION
• Salary: $85,000–$95,000 plus discretionary bonus potential
• Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (generous vacation, sick time, and holidays), 401K with company contribution, and more!
• Full-time, onsite role based in Healdsburg, CA—Mon-Fri schedule with ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
The salary range reflects the company’s good-faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this position upon hire. Placement within the range depends on experience and qualifications, and compensation growth opportunities may be available based on performance within the role.
