Williams Selyem is seeking a permanent, full-time Lab Technician.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Winemaker, the Lab Technician will perform all specified laboratory analyses and provide laboratory and cellar support to the winemaking team throughout our two locations.

Specific duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
•  Performing all laboratory analyses
•  Data entry in Innovint and Excel
•  Vineyard sampling and sample processing,
•  Juice and wine sample collection
•  Yeast and malolactic culture propagation
•  Assisting in cellar work as needed
•  Cleaning

The ideal candidate for this position is hard-working, passionate about wine, enthusiastic, has excellent attention to detail, and works well both independently and in team settings. A minimum of a BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Enology, Fermentation Science, or related major is required, with at least one full year of full-time laboratory experience.

The Lab Technician is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch, as well as lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Ability to work long hours and overtime is required for this position.
