2026 VICE VERSA INTERNSHIP

Vice Versa is looking for one intern to join our winemaking team for the 2026 vintage. Our winery is in Calistoga. We produce high caliber wines with quality always being at the forefront of our work. Our wines are primarily made with Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from iconic vineyards throughout the Napa Valley. You will get the chance to work with fruit from Stag’s Leap, Oakville, St. Helena, and Calistoga. We offer an exciting opportunity to work directly with a small and talented team. Below is a list of work responsibilities expected and qualities we are looking for in our candidate.

Intern Duties:
- Crush pad activities- processing, sorting, must transfers
- Pump overs, punch downs, and additions
- Barrel activities- cleaning, filling, racking, and topping
- Draining and pressing
- Cleaning and sanitization of equipment
- Forklift operation
- Vineyard grape sampling
- Lab analysis
- Fermentation monitoring
- Setup/breakdown of winery operations
- Keeping facility organized and tour friendly
- Data entry
- Pressure washing
- Pre and post harvest equipment and facility cleaning
Qualifications:
- 2 prior vintages
- Ability to work long hours for multiple days
- Ability to be on feet for most of the day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
- High attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for winemaking
- Positive attitude
- Commitment to work from mid-August through mid-November or longer
- Drivers license
