We have an exciting opportunity for a Busser to join the MacRostie hospitality team! Reporting to the Sr. Hospitality and Events Manager, this role is responsible for clearing and resetting tables in a speedy, professional and effective manner as guests leave, as well as supporting servers and service staff with water refills and clearing tables. The Busser is also responsible for polishing and restocking stemware. This role is a position that split shifts between two winery locations: Markham Vineyards in St. Helena, CA and MacRostie Winery in Healdsburg, CA and is a full-time non-exempt position, working Thursday - Monday, 35hours/week. Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or Winery Tasting Room setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Possess a flexible schedule and able to work evenings & weekends
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clear tables after guests leave. Take glass/tableware to kitchen and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
- Between seatings, promptly clean tabletops, chairs and banquette.
- Reset and arrange tabletops.
- Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicate guest requests to servers/manager immediately.
- Restock wine, merchandise and collateral materials as needed
- Assist with pre/post shift setup/cleanup
- Maintain the cleanliness of all back of house areas
- Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
