THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a dynamic, organized and results-driven wine industry professional to join our team and lead our Tasting Room and Hospitality program to new heights. Our goal is to find a creative individual who is committed to preparing for and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences that are unique, infectious and ones that inspire client connections. This person must be capable of working independently on a wide range of tasks, but also flourish in a team atmosphere where ideas and responsibilities are shared and collaborated on.
RESPONSIBILITES
• Bring a sharing and participatory attitude in creating and inspiring a supportive team environment that fosters a dynamic and energetic workplace.
• Lead in building and maintaining a comprehensive referral network with wine country driver services and restaurant/hotel concierges.
• Actively manage our reservation system through TOCK.
• Collect all tasting room guest referral data to enhance personalization and drive future engagement.
• Organize and execute tasting appointments.
• Grow annual tasting room revenues and meet foot traffic targets.
• Manage and/or design elevated tasting experiences that pull together the brands unique back-stories, exceptional wines and estate features.
• Collaborate on, and/or lead on and off site seasonal events, wine dinners and other initiatives.
• Manage Tasting Room staff.
• Ensure the hospitality experience is gracious, personable and productive in driving brand priorities and in developing long-term relationships.
• Responsible for team scheduling and calendar management.
• Responsible for the purchasing and management of all Tasting Room supplies, materials and wine inventory needed for the winery.
• Partner directly with the Wine Club Manager and Marketing Coordinator to grow membership and increase lifetime value of existing members.
• Oversee and manage initiatives with web sales, Red Chirp, phone and in-bound sales programs.
• Work closely with leadership in department budget forecasting, sales goals, and projections for all Tasting Room and DTC sales.
• Report monthly, bi-annually, and annually to ownership on Tasting Room and DTC sales toward goal.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of professional and relevant experience including a proven track record in sales and/or hospitality.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, communications, marketing, or finance, or commensurate work experience and success.
• Luxury brand hospitality experience desired.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled and knowledgeable in interpersonal relationship development.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team Player with a strong work ethic.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
• local wine industry knowledge, its regions and its history.
• Burgundy wine knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Commerce 7, Trade pulse, Community Benchmark and POS systems.
