We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-driven wine professional to represent two complementary portfolios in the Santa Clara / San Mateo County market. This is a rare opportunity to build a territory with two respected importers, offering broader reach, stronger earnings potential, and a more complete book of business.
About the Opportunity
You will represent both Copa Fina Wine Imports & Distribution and WineWise LLC, two established companies with aligned values, family-owned producers, and strong reputations in the trade. Rather than splitting time between unrelated side hustles, this role is designed to give you a cohesive, focused portfolio across key European regions, with support from two experienced teams.
This is a commission-based contractor role with flexible scheduling. The territory spans the South Bay & Peninsula region, with a mix of existing accounts and significant growth potential.
About WineWise
WineWise has been importing a dazzling array of European wines since 1989 with a well-established business in the state. We represent top-quality producers across Spain, Portugal, France, Austria, Germany, and Greece, with a strong, loyal customer base and a highly collaborative team culture.
About Copa Fina
Copa Fina has been importing and distributing artisanal, family-owned wineries since 2009. Our producers are driven by authenticity, sustainability, and a deep sense of place. We work long-term, relationship-first, and focus primarily on on-premise and independent retail.
What We Offer
• A combined book of business with both established accounts and open growth territory
• Commission-based compensation with strong upside, paid on collected invoices
• Flexible schedule that can evolve with your goals
• Supportive, relationship-driven company cultures on both sides
• Access to training, producer education, and ongoing sales tools
Who You Are
• A self-starter who is organized, responsive, and accountable
• Comfortable working independently while staying connected to a team
• Curious about wine and motivated to keep learning
• Resilient, persistent, and not easily discouraged
• Entrepreneurial in mindset, but professional in execution
Previous wine sales or distribution experience is advantageous but not critical. However, a solid foundation of wine knowledge is necessary for success.
What You’ll Do
• Cultivate existing accounts and develop new ones through cold calls, walk-ins, referrals, and industry contacts.
• Present and sell wines across both portfolios with confidence and accuracy
• Build long-term relationships through consistent service, communication, and follow-through
• Manage orders, account details, and territory planning with attention to detail
• Collaborate with leadership at both companies to grow the territory strategically
Requirements
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs repeatedly
• Must be at least 21 years of age
Compensation
Fully commission-based. Income ranges widely depending on time commitment, goals, and performance.
