Fidelitas Wines Red Mountain is seeking a Temporary Lab Tech. This position will begin mid/late May 2026 and run through end December 2026. With direction and training, this position is meant to cover laboratory operations while our Assistant Winemaker is on leave. The Temporary Lab Tech will support the core winemaking team in all aspects of winery operations before, during, and after harvest.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently with direction, have excellent problem solving skills, and have previous laboratory experience.


Daily Responsibilities:

-Operate, calibrate, and maintain all laboratory equipment with training, including auto-titrator, SPICA, centrifuge, DMA, ebulliometer, and de-gassing equipment. Must be able to confidently troubleshoot and problem solve minor issues.
-Make accurate chemical additions.
-Set up and run winemaking trials as needed.
-Maintain and keep current sampling records and schedules as directed.
-Keep track of, generate, and complete work orders in Vintrace wine tracking system.
-Effectively communicate with winemaking team.
-Data entry and analysis.

Harvest responsibilities

-Manage harvest vineyard/grape maturity sampling and processing.
-Daily punchdowns/cap maintenance.
-Must sampling and daily fermentation brix/temperature.
-Follow all fermentation protocols, additions, and must corrections as directed.
-Cellar and laboratory sanitation and cleanliness.
-Barrel work.

Required Qualifications:

-Previous laboratory experience.
-Proficiency with google docs and sheets.
-Detail oriented, organized, and adaptable; able to prioritize responsibilities.
-Valid Washington driver’s license.
-Ability to work extended hours during harvest and bottling.

Physical Requirements

-Ability to lift 25+ lbs; work at various heights; perform physically demanding tasks.
-Exposure to chemicals, hot/cold conditions, noise, and winery equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Previous wine harvest experience.
-Bachelor’s degree in winemaking/enology or other related/scientific field.
-Previous winery laboratory experience.
-Experience with wine tracking software.
-Forklift certification.

Compensation & Benefits:

-$20.00-$24.00/hr DOE, with overtime
-This temporary position qualifies for Medical/Dental benefits for Employee/Spouse & Children at an 80/20 premium split.


This is a full-time temporary position to be filled in person at our Richland, WA production winery.
