Responsibilities:
- Drive sales by establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business relationships with wine stores, restaurants, chains, and other potential clients.
- Understand customer needs and provide suitable wine recommendations.
- Collaborate with our distributors’ salesforce and portfolio managers to coordinate the marketing and sales of our wines to the end customers.
- Frequently travel within Florida to meet potential clients, present our portfolio, and secure orders.
- Use data-driven strategies to optimize the sales pipeline and make informed decisions on sales tactics.
- Utilize our CRM effectively by entering customer information and leveraging the tool for route planning, monitoring retention, and effective follow-up.
Requirements:
- Ability to prioritize tasks and set your own daily and weekly goals to meet our global sales targets.
- Confident, self-starter, and creative thinker, a must.
- Deep passion for wine and spirits, a basic understanding of French, Italian, and Domestic wines and spirits.
- 1-2 years of previous wine-related experience, such as working at a wine retailer, restaurant, wholesaler, or importer.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work asynchronously with the team.
- Flexibility to travel within assigned regions.
- Need to have a transportation vehicle.
Preferred:
- Basic understanding of inventory management and data analytics.
- Wine-related education, such as a sommelier course, a viticulture/enology degree, or a hospitality degree.
Commission and Variable Compensation Opportunities:
- Commission structure based on wholesaler depletions achieved and account visits with a tasting. This is not capped.
- Bonuses based on set milestones.
- $400 monthly gas allowance
