Title: Harvest Lab Technician
Reports to: Enologist, Winemaker
Status: Internship/Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Location: Rutherford Hill Winery

JOB SUMMARY:
This is a temporary Lab Technician position running from August through November. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has a positive attitude, and pays close attention to detail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Perform pre-harvest vineyard sampling and analysis
•  Fermentation monitoring
•  Calibrate and operate automatic analyzer and automatic titrator
•  Set up Trials
•  Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on InnoVint and Excel
•  Participate in tastings and discussions with winemakers
•  Perform general lab cleaning and maintenance
•  Cellar work when required
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Basic laboratory skills or a strong willingness to learn
•  Strong sensory, mathematical, and analytical skills
•  Detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and exhibits a team player attitude
•  Effective communication and time management skills
•  Willing to work long hours and rotating shifts during harvest
•  Ability to work outdoors
•  Proficient in Excel and Word; Winemaking software is a plus
•  Ability to stand for up to 12 hours a day, lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and use ladders
