Job Description (Estate Technician)
The AG District is a 400+ acre farm in Middleburg Virginia and is home to Chrysalis Vineyards, Locksley Estate Farmstead Cheese Company and the Little River Bake house. We are looking for an onsite Estate Technician to perform day to day maintenance while also being able to troubleshoot/repair issues when they occur. Our desired candidate must have HVAC experience as we have over 20 onsite residential and commercial HVAC systems ranging from 3.5 ton to 20 ton units which also include glycol heating/cooling and walk in refrigeration units. The estate technician position can be challenging at times due to the wide range of systems involved in the operation of a winery, dairy and kitchen, so when a repair is outside of their skill level, we expect the tech to coordinate and schedule with contractors to ensure timely and thorough repairs.

Skills/Abilities
• Troubleshooting and Repair knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems
• General plumbing knowledge to include PVC and Copper installation and repairs
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
• Effectively use a computer for online research and correspondence
• Ability to handle disruptions in stride with professionalism.
• While this position generally works during normal business hours, the Estate Technician is considered essential personnel for inclement weather, and maintenance emergencies and may be required to work outside of normal business hours, including holidays.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Desire to relocate to the provided onsite housing
• Services, maintains and repairs residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Perform all types of “handyman” repairs
o General Carpentry
o Drywall repair
o Painting
o Basic electrical and plumbing
• Performing preventive/scheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Manage the scheduling of contractors for repairs of systems
• Coordinate with onsite labor team to ensure cleanliness of property, gravel road repair, and snow removal
• Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
• Additional duties as required
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
• Individuals working outside job site may be exposed to varying temperatures and all weather conditions.
• Performing this job requires frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to sit, talk, hear, and stand frequently throughout the day. Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently. The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• May work with or around typical construction materials and chemicals requiring safety data sheet knowledge.
