Position Summary: Provides logistic and administrative support relating to the tracking of bulk wine and wine additives throughout all the wine manufacturing stages from harvest through bottling.
Schedule: Alternative Workweek. Mon-Thurs 9-hour days (office). Fri 4-hour day (Home or Office)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accurately records processing, blending and inventory of wine through input of work orders across all facilities in Vintrace.
• Ensures accuracy in completion of documents such as winemaking work orders.
• Tracks dry goods and materials inventory.
• During harvest processes, weigh tags and increased flow of work orders.
• Assists with arranging weekly shipping and deliveries across facilities
• Processes incoming bulk wine shipments and prepares bills of lading for outgoing bulk shipments.
• Prepares Annual Grape Crush Report for California Division of Farming and Agriculture with assistance from winemaker(s) and finance department
• Orders, processes and tracks winemaking supply orders for all locations in company software program.
• Supports finance team in processing for on time payments.
• Conducts complex reconciliation in multiple areas.
• Assists with coordinating container shipments and subsequent deliveries.
• Organizes and files supporting paperwork & documents.
• Actively participates in and abides by all HACCP and ISO programs as part of SB compliance.
• Performs special assignments, projects, and other duties as requested.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or science desired or 2-5 years of related experience working in the wine industry.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Vintrace.
• Demonstrated knowledge of principles of inventory management.
• Familiarity and knowledge of basic wine compliance laws preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
• Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
