Position Summary: A skilled Bottling employee that exhibits attention to detail and communication skills. Labeler Operator is responsible for set-up and daily operation of the labeler on bottling line and from time to time may be assigned other duties.

Schedule: Four 10-hour workdays (Mon-Thurs). Sliding 2nd Shift when needed. Schedule may vary, some overtime required. Typical Sliding Shift Hours: Day Shift 5:00 am – 3:30 pm | Extended Shift 10:00 am – 9:00 pm | Second Shift 3:30 pm – 2:00 am

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Set-up and operation of labeler.
•  Ensures all label specifications are correct during production.
•  In coordination with the Bottling Lead, runs all equipment such as the filler, corker, labeler, case packer and capsule machine, in accordance with operational safety policies and procedures.
•  Sets up all equipment on bottling line, participates in set-up, clean-up of line.
•  Follows safety, ISO and HACCP standards.
•  Keeps accurate bottling paperwork for each wine.
•  Responsible for locating proper dry goods supplies on bottling specification forms.
•  Assists in inventory of bottling dry goods.
•  Well versed in all bottling SOP’s.
•  Ensures bottling line staff is in compliance with company standards involving safety and performance. Reports all staff issues to Bottling Lead.
•  Assists and provides back up to Bottling Lead.
•  In absence of Bottling Lead interfaces with cellar, lab and warehouse staffs to ensure wine and supplies are readily available, supplies are correct and proper tank is being bottled from.
•  Reports needed repairs and issues with equipment to Bottling Lead and/or Maintenance.
•  Basic sanitation of tanks, pumps and hoses when needed.
•  Assists in routine maintenance of machinery.
•  Rotates between various functions on bottling line.
•  Serves as a resource to bottling staff in bottling line operations.
•  Actively participates in and abides by all HACCP and ISO programs as part of SB compliance.
•  Performs special assignments, projects, and other duties as requested.

Education and Experience:
•  3+years of Packaging equipment operating experience.
•  Able to obtain Lift Truck and Clamp certification.
•  In-depth knowledge and understanding of a packaging operation.
•  Demonstrated ability to coordinate and document workflow.
•  A good understanding of quality control is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:
•  Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
•  Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
•  Requires sufficient good health to properly discharge duties.
•  If applicable, requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under SB’s insurance policy.
