Bien Nacido Vineyards is a leading producer of terroir-driven, hand-crafted Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah. We are seeking a full-time seasonal winemaking intern with lots of energy and a positive attitude to join our team for the 2026 harvest. This position will start in August and end in November but will ultimately be determined by the weather. The interns will work closely with the winemaking team carrying out a wide variety of hands-on tasks in all facets of harvest work.

This is an opportunity to learn how to operate in a detail oriented, terroir-focused winemaking environment. You will get the opportunity to work with fruit from Bien Nacido Vineyard. Jobs will include vineyard sampling, and analysis, crop adjustment, grape sorting, crushing, monitoring fermentations, punch downs, pump-overs, draining, pressing, topping, racking, laboratory analysis, etc. Desired candidates should possess, previous winery experience, experience in wet chemistry, and strong organizational skills. However, we are willing to train an inexperienced candidate if they have the right attitude.

The winery is in northern Santa Barbara County, approximately 15 minutes from Santa Maria.
The candidate should be able to lift/pull/push 50lbs, be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and be willing to work extended hours.

Pay rate $18-$20 per hour plus overtime.
