Job Description:
We are looking to add a dedicated, hardworking, ambitious individual to help us run our cellar. You will be under the direct supervision of our Winemaker, who will train you in our protocols. This is a full-time position, with some overtime required. The individual must be responsible and able to follow work orders. You will be part of a team but must be able to work on your own.
Responsibilities
• Perform basic, routine cellar and barrel room tasks, including but not limited to: cleaning and sanitizing cellar fittings, hoses, tanks, barrels.
• Wine movements – Transfer wine to and from tanks, barrels, and tanker trucks.
• Make additions to wine and juice after a confirmation of the calculations by our Winemaker
• Operate pumps, plate and frame filters, hoists, and other Cellar equipment.
• Understand and have worked on a bottling line.
• Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma/ GED
• 3 – 5 years winery experience
• Have forklift certification
• Have a basic mechanical understanding
• Be comfortable with the metric system
• Dedicated, hardworking, meticulous, attention to detail
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
o Work outdoors/indoors
o Work in warm/cold climates
o Work on ladders
o Work on wet surfaces
o Work near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic
o Must be able to lift 55 lbs

$20-24 an hour
