SLOAN ESTATE 2026 HARVEST INTERNS
Sloan Estate is seeking two interns to join our winemaking team for the 2026 harvest season. We are a small winery located on the eastern hillside of Rutherford. Our wines are a direct reflection of the work put into our vineyard to meticulously craft wines of true site expression. We farm our 13-acre estate vineyard, blending Bordeaux varietals to produce two wines that showcase our dedication and ethos to making world class Napa Valley wines. Interns will be an integral part of our small and dedicated team.
Ideal candidates should possess the following:
• A strong work ethic
• Attention to detail
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Previous harvest experience is preferred but not required
Physical Requirements: Candidates should expect to spend long hours on their feet and be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
Responsibilities include manually turning fermenting barrels and working up to 7 days per week, in wet and cold conditions.
Overtime during peak harvest.
Internship Duties Include:
• Vineyard sampling
• Cellar sanitation
• Fruit processing
• Fermentation monitoring and cap management
• Performing pump-overs and barrel fermentation
• Draining and pressing
Internship would begin September 7th and run to Dec 18th.
*Housing is provided on the property
