This position is responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive and memorable experience at Left Coast Estate. The candidate must have a passion for wine or a keen interest in learning the ins and outs of our wine service and our general operations. We offer wood-fired pizza as well as wine and have live music every Friday starting in May. We love to host folks and give them an experience that keeps them coming back!

Responsibilities include:
Greeting customers promptly and courteously
Guiding customers to wines they enjoy
Taking food orders and working as a liaison between kitchen and bar staff
Setting up and cleaning up daily operations and special events
Bussing tables, washing dishes-glassware included, touching tables as you go
Stocking wine (must be able to lift 45lbs) and retail merchandise in the tasting room
Accurately performing daily wine inventory and money handling procedures
Promotes the sale of wine and non-wine products sold in the Tasting Room
Describes wines, winemaking techniques, winery history and provides general tourist information
Candidate must possess an OLCC and Food Handlers Permit
Convey our wine club perks and benefits and accurately sign interested folks up for wine club

Job Description Details:

Greets all visitors to the winery and pours wines for tasting
Effectively suggests and sells wine to customers
Assists customers with transporting wine to their vehicles when needed
Describes wines and winery history to customers
Answers visitor's questions and able to provide general tourist information
Open to working on site special events after hours if needed
Handles routine purchasing transactions, which include operating cash register
Work in a team environment and open to performing other duties as assigned
This position reports directly to the Tastings Room Manager
May be assigned other tasks or be asked to participate in other activities both on site and off site as needed

Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age
Able to work a flexible schedule
High school diploma or equivalent and/or qualified experience required
Retail experience a plus
Professional appearance and demeanor
Able to lift up to 45 pounds
Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for up to 8 hours a day
Weekends required, holidays and some evenings required
