Field Sales Manager - MidWest

Job Description:

HALL Wines is seeking a dynamic and goal-oriented Field Sales Manager, Midwest to drive sales and expand brand presence in key territories, including Illinois, Wisconsin and other markets in the Midwest region. Reporting to the Midwest Regional Sales Manager, this role's primary responsibility is to increase on- and off-premise distribution, identify new market opportunities, and strengthen existing account relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Engagement: Conduct weekly in-person sales visits to on- and off-premise accounts, providing support, sampling products, securing new business, and ensuring inventory levels are maintained. This role requires spending approximately 80% of time in the market, either independently or accompanied by distribution partners.
Relationship Development: Cultivate strong relationships with new accounts to secure placements and strengthen ties with existing accounts.
Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business and distribution opportunities utilizing updated prospect list.
Representation: Represent HALL Wines and our brands at distributor sales meetings, trade tastings, account staff trainings, wine dinners, and consumer events. Some weekend work is required to support the market.
Sales Targets: Achieve annual sales targets set in collaboration with the management team.
Pricing and Promotions: Ensure retail pricing and promotional programs align with brand standards.
Distributor Collaboration: Develop relationships with distribution teams and educate their sales representatives about the brand portfolio.
Education: Provide brand education to on-premise and off-premise accounts.
Reporting: Utilize account software (VIP/KARMA) to log visits, track velocity vs. distributor inventories and provide timely reports and updates to the Vice President of Sales and the management team.
Compliance: Adhere to company policies and Alcoholic Beverage regulations.
Regional Support: Infrequently, travel to assist with markets in other regions as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of proven success in fine wine sales.
Please note WSET, CMS or CSW certification/s
Established relationships with key accounts in the region, especially the Chicago area.
Strong industry knowledge with a passion for fine wine.
High level of integrity and professionalism in business transactions.
Entrepreneurial mindset with self-motivation and a drive to exceed goals.
Ability to collaborate as part of a team and think creatively.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Valid Driver License with the ability to travel within the local market.

Travel: Expectation of travel by car in the local areas and throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, etc. Additional market work in the MW region is required but not usual.
A car allowance, Travel and Entertainment Expense Budget included.

Residence Requirement: Must be based in Chicago, IL including surrounding suburbs.
