OVID Napa Valley is located on Prichard Hill where we produce Bordeaux blends from our organically farmed, estate vineyard. In addition to those wines, we also make a white blend from grapes sourced throughout the state of California.
Together, our 4-person production team focuses on mindful farming and making balanced wines that represent our site. During the entire year, but especially over the harvest months, we work closely with one another and value collaboration, open conversation, a drive to learn, experimentation and having fun.
We’re looking to complete our 2026 harvest team by hiring two passionate and engaged individuals who complement our team dynamic. Our interns are involved in every aspect of the season. You will, for example, be sampling in the vineyard, working on the crush line, monitoring fermentation and wine chemistry, running the press, barreling down, and participating in decision-making conversations and tastings. Cap management is largely automated, which allows us to focus more intently on other tasks.
Along with general harvest duties, we offer an opportunity to take on a research project of your own choosing. Other exposures include fun lunches, wine, great conversations, and an abundance of encouragement. We give this process careful consideration and want to offer a mutually beneficial experience so that applicants can be exposed to a variety of tasks, growth opportunities, and as much responsibility as they demonstrate they can manage.
While we do require a previous harvest experience, we prioritize the following in assessing candidates:
• Respect for all team members
• Diverse backgrounds and perspectives
• A willingness to be a part of the team
• A positive attitude
• Attention to detail
• The ability to think ahead in anticipation of next steps
• A sense of humor
• Great communication skills
