The Marketing Manager is the operational heart of Shafer's marketing team—orchestrating the content, campaigns, releases, and cross-functional initiatives that bring the brand to life at every touchpoint. This role sits at the intersection of brand, sales, DTC, and hospitality, ensuring that every guest interaction, every bottle, and every moment of engagement reflects Shafer's standard of excellence.
Responsibilities
Content & Brand Execution
• Manage Shafer's master content calendar across social media, email, website, and hospitality communications
• Coordinate photography, video, and copywriting with internal teams and external creative partners
• Develop vintage storytelling into compelling brand narratives for each release
• Leverage critical acclaim, scores, and press mentions across channels with taste and restraint
• Manage seasonal and harvest content cadence
• Schedule, publish, and maintain quality control across all outbound content
• Apply a trained design eye to ensure all creative output meets Shafer's standard of elegance
Sales, DTC & Event Enablement
• Partner with national and regional sales, DTC, and hospitality teams
• Plan and execute sales events nationwide
• Manage logistics for tastings, activations, conferences, and buyer experiences
• Coordinate trade and press support
• Serve as the connective thread between marketing and guest-facing teams
Merchandise & Gifting
• Oversee branded merchandise, corporate gifting, and hospitality collateral
• Manage inventory, vendor relationships, fulfillment, and brand quality
Project & Campaign Management
• Lead timelines and deliverables for releases and sponsorships
• Drive projects to completion with disciplined execution
• Act as the central coordination point across teams
• Support international market needs
CRM, Analytics & Reporting
• Manage customer segmentation and personalized marketing journeys
• Track and report on campaign performance
• Use data to refine messaging and audience strategy
Brand Standards & Quality Control
• Protect brand integrity across materials
• Ensure consistency in visual and messaging standards
• Communicate sustainability practices authentically
Who You Are
• Highly organized and calm under pressure
• Possess a sharp design eye and brand sensitivity
• Skilled at managing complex calendars and stakeholders
• Experienced in content, events, or brand operations within luxury industries
• Comfortable owning logistics end-to-end
• A natural collaborator across teams
• Protective of and attuned to legacy brand representation
Preferred Experience
• 4–8 years in marketing or brand operations
• Background in luxury wine, hospitality, fashion, or lifestyle brands
• Experience planning and executing multi-market events
• Proficiency with CRM, social, CMS, and email systems
• Experience with Klaviyo a plus
• Digital advertising experience
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with wine media and industry rhythms
