Job Description:

Shea Wine Cellar, located in Newberg OR, is seeking several full-time seasonal winemaking interns to join our team for 2026 Harvest.

Shea Vineyard, a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, produces world class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Due to our smaller size, interns will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the winemaking process. Anticipated start date is September 1, 2026, subject to change depending on the growing season.

Typical duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Vineyard sampling
Running crush equipment and sorting fruit
Forklift operation. In house certification and training provided
Barrel work and pump operation
Daily cap management
Routine juice and wine analysis (Brix, pH)
Additions and inoculations
Equipment sanitization/cleaning

Qualifications:

Flexible and willing to work varying shifts, overtime, and weekends.
Ability to perform demanding physical work (indoor and outdoor) including but not limited to lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly, positioning heavy equipment, bending, climbing, pulling or squatting for long periods
Authorization to work in the US
Able to read, write, speak and understand English
Able to accurately complete work instructions individually or in a team
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Forklift certified or can be forklift certified by us.
Reliable transportation and housing
