WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing for 3 companies including over 240 employees. Includes commissions, incentives, hours worked, tips etc.
• Responsible for processing all manual payroll checks for offboarding and off cycle payments to employees
• Assists employees with benefit and 401k questions including enrollments, changes, contributions, coverage questions. Partner with HR Director for all annual open enrollment activities
• Admin for HR and Payroll related modules in Paylocity including compliance, HRIS, ACA
• Leads offboarding process (90 in 2025 – MORE in 2026) of employees and onboarding process (76 in 2025 – MORE in 2026 with ANV seasonal) of new employees
• Updates Paylocity for all employee related processes (employee movement, department re-organizations, employee updates and changes)
• Processes bi-weekly 401k contributions, garnishments and payroll tax filings and reporting
• Partner with external resources like Moss Adams (outside Accounting firm) to reconcile payroll, benefit brokers, 401k plan administrator and 401k advisor team
• Handles all payroll and employment-verification inquiries
• Manages leaves of absence including employee notices, tracking
• Manages workers compensation claims, partners with workers compensation carrier
• Partners with Vineyard Admins at ANV and SLWC for all vineyard operation onboarding, offboarding, employee relations activities
• Pre-harvest meetings with payroll for each team in Operations: Vineyard, Cellar, Maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 3 years of payroll generalist experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
• Paylocity experience highly desired
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Skilled in the use of MS Word and MS Excel at an intermediate level.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
• Must be a progressive thinker with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks from inception to completion in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Able to organize and prioritize work effectively while keeping enough flexibility to roll with it when management needs something urgently
• Absolute integrity, discretion, and sensitivity to confidential company and employee information
• Ability to think proactively and analytically with extreme attention to detail
