Dynamic estate winery is looking for a cellar master to fill a multitude of roles. We are a small team of passionate individuals who love what they do. The family owned winery is located in the Santa Ynez Valley and is surrounded by 25 acres of organically farmed vines. We specialize in classic Bordeaux varieties, but love to experiment as well and have a few oddballs thrown in the mix. We strive to craft beautifully balanced, energetic, and expressive wines with minimal intervention. The main role of the cellar master is to ensure wine quality from vineyard to bottling under the direction of the winemaking team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•  Cellar management including sanitation, organization, equipment maintenance, inventory, dry goods purchasing, racking, blending and bottling.
•  Barrel and bulk wine management including regular QC including tasting, topping, inventory, analysis, data entry.
•  Organizing and participate in blending trials and tastings
•  Maintaining wine database (Innovint), assisting with regular reporting, data analysis and interpretation
•  Harvest work including equipment prep, processing, cap management, data entry, and training seasonal staff.
•  Lab management including: running routine analysis with Foss, Sulfilyser, ph meter. Maintaining lab equipment and managing data.
•  Warehouse management including inventory and organization of cased goods and bottling supplies, packing orders, and assisting with annual releases.
•  Facility maintenance and monitoring of equipment
•  Vineyard scouting, data collection, and sampling.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of cellar/winemaking experience
- 3+ year of forklift experience
- Effective communicator both written and verbal
- Extreme attention to detail in the most joyful way possible
- Wine lab and data management experience
- Spanish proficiency a plus
- Excellent organizational, and logistical skills- specifically winery Tetris
- Flexibility to pivot work flow
- Solution oriented, positive attitude
- Ability to lift 45 lbs regularly; valid California driver’s license
