Martinelli Winery is an established, family-owned winery located in the heart of the Russian River Valley. We specialize in estate grown Chardonnay, Pinot, Zinfandel, and Syrah. Our family has been growing grapes in the Russian River and on the Sonoma Coast for over 135 years. Our passion for small lot, artisan wines is evident with each bottle we produce. The ideal candidate for our cellar is passionate about helping us continue to raise the bar of excellence in all that we do. This position reports to the Assistant Winemaker and is responsible for helping execute daily basic and/or advanced cellar operations. This person works efficiently to meet wine quality expectations in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:
- Harvest and wine industry experience is preferred BUT NOT REQUIRED
-Forklift skills/certification are a plus, but not necessary

- Able to work independently, follow and interpret instructions

- Have great attention to detail
- Works well as a team member

-Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, stand on hard services for long periods of time and work in various temperatures and climates

- Shift work and weekends required

- Reliable Transportation

Essential duties and Responsibilities:
-During crush tasks include but not limited to pump-overs, punchdowns, juice/wine additions, moving hoses and equipment, barrel filling, collecting lab samples, cleaning/sanitizing equipment, and grape processing including sorting.

-Responsible for following the company sanitation standards in all areas of cellar operations

-Work with safety in mind always.

A good moral compass, strong communication and a sense of humor are key to the success in this role. Good taste in music wouldn’t hurt either.
