POSITION TITLE: Assistant Vineyard Manager
REPORTS TO: CEO, DVO
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Implementation of viticultural programs at all assigned ranches, to include:
- Scout for vineyards pest and report to Management team.
- Help conduct crop estimates by reporting cluster counts and weights.
- Communicate on a regular basis with management team on all operating activities and applications.
- Work with CEO and other management team members implementing laws regulations and trainings.
- Coordinate and apply sustainable programs such as Fish Friendly Farming, CERS, Tule, Ranch Systems, Ceres, water use and water rights.
- Providing equipment for crews as needed.
- Provide input on vineyard operations and strategies.
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed.
- Help monitor safety budget and protocols.
- Ordering equipment and supplies as required.

•  Responsible for managing Vit-Tech’s daily work, equipment and materials use, associated with all vineyard applications.

•  Assist with all field monitoring of the company vineyards for pest and disease populations and their economic thresholds.

•  Assist in conducting safety-training sessions and ensure field compliance with labor laws and other regulatory requirements. Monitor safety and health related practices in the field. Provide information necessary to prepare reports on pest pressure and regulatory compliance.

•  Assist in managing and developing vineyard Forman, crews and other field personnel.

•  Assist management team in frost, harvest, and spray season during day and night shifts.

•  Assist in managing and developing vineyard pesticide work-orders.

•  Review and report monthly pesticide use reports to DPR when needed.

•  Communicate regularly with CEO, HR Manager providing potential employee issues and work status.

•  Vendor and winery liaison as required.

•  Research equipment necessary to maintain Cal Osha compliant.

•  Represent team in winery, industry, civic, and governmental organizations and groups.

•  Attend seminars, classes and other activities as necessary for professional development.
