A Taste of What You'll Do

At Gallo, science meets craftsmanship - we're looking for a detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to support quality control, winemaking, and environmental monitoring through physical, microbiological, and chemical analysis. Working under general supervision, you'll analyze alcoholic beverages, grapes, grape products, water, incoming materials, and other samples that keep our operations safe, consistent, and innovative. Your work will help guide production decisions, verify product quality, and support continuous improvement across the winery.

In this hands-on role you'll perform a range of analyses using distillation, titrimetric, colorimetric and instrumental methods, operating tools like auto-titrators, refractometers, densitometers, GC, IR analyzers, and spectrophotometers. You'll support microbiological tasks including sampling, bottling-line monitoring, media prep, and sterilization, and you'll prepare standard solutions, calibrate instruments, and complete preventative maintenance to ensure reliable results. Accurate recordkeeping in LIMS, timely data reporting, and thoughtful evaluation of QC data are essential; you'll identify deviations, follow response plans, and collaborate on troubleshooting and corrective actions.

We value team members who contribute ideas to improve lab practices, support method development, and maintain a clean, safe workspace consistent with our ISO 17025-aligned quality management system. Successful candidates demonstrate strong attention to detail, good communication, a commitment to safety and quality training, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. If you want to bring your analytical skills to a place where results matter and people are respected, join us at Gallo to help ensure every bottle meets the high standards our customers expect.
