Position Overview
The Sales & Marketing Manager leads sales growth and brand visibility across wholesale, direct-to-consumer, and on-site channels. This role blends strategy with execution and works closely with ownership to shape how the winery shows up in the market. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable being both customer-facing and behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
• Develop, manage, and grow wholesale accounts (restaurants, wine shops, and distributors as applicable)
• Maintain and expand direct-to-consumer sales, including wine club, mailing list, and online channels
• Conduct tastings, account visits, and market work locally and regionally
• Collaborate on pricing, allocations, and sales goals
• Represent the winery at trade tastings, festivals, and industry events
Marketing
• Create and execute annual sales and marketing plans
• Manage brand messaging across digital platforms, including website, email, and social media
• Oversee wine club communications, releases, and member engagement
• Coordinate promotions, seasonal campaigns, and special offers
• Collaborate on sales materials, brand storytelling, and point-of-sale assets
On-Site & Events
• Support tasting room strategy and guest experience as needed
• Plan and execute winery events, releases, and special tastings
• Train tasting room staff on wines, sales priorities, and brand story
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in wine sales, marketing, or hospitality
• Solid understanding of both DTC and wholesale wine sales channels
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently
• Willingness to work some weekends, evenings, and events
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift wine cases as needed
