Sales Representative – North Shore, New Jersey

Vine Street Imports is a 25-year-old national wine importer and wine & spirits distributor with a deep passion for great producers, authentic stories, and building long-term relationships. We’re looking for a motivated, curious, and people-oriented Sales Representative to build upon our existing presence along the Northern New Jersey Shore.
This role is perfect for someone who loves wine and spirits, enjoys connecting with customers, and wants to build a real business within a supportive, collaborative company culture. Prior wholesale sales experience is strongly preferred, but we’re also open to candidates with strong retail or restaurant backgrounds who are ready to make the leap into distribution, or a sales-driven person looking to learn more about wine and spirits. Existing relationships in Northern NJ are a major plus.
Vine Street Imports works across the entirety of the country and distributes directly in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Our portfolio spans more than ten countries and includes both iconic, sought-after producers and exciting emerging brands.

What You’ll Do
Own and grow a defined geographical territory through face-to-face visits, calls, and emails
Develop strong, long-term relationships with on- and off-premise accounts
Prospect for and open new accounts
Develop an expertise of our broad portfolio of wines and spirits from around the world as the foundation of a successful career
Collaborate with portfolio management and sales management to create sales opportunities
Participate in market work with visiting winery and spirits suppliers
Attend monthly sales meetings, trade tastings, and consumer events
Use internal systems and tools to manage accounts, orders, and company policies
Execute against sales goals while helping shape the long-term growth of the territory
What We’re Looking For
Prior wholesale sales experience preferred; strong retail or restaurant experience considered
Moderate to high level of wine and spirits curiosity and expanding product knowledge
Understanding of (or eagerness to learn) the Northern NJ Shore marketplace
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
Organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic sales tools
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Must live within the territory
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
