Job Description:

Handcrafted Wine & Spirits is an established wine and spirits distribution company operating in Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Oregon. This opportunity is to lead the sales team as the Director of Sales of Missouri for our new Missouri distributor. We need a self-motivated professional with proven managerial experience and an outstanding track record in wine and spirits sales. In this position, you will be responsible for managing our sales team for the full state of Missouri with the goal of meeting our annual targets. As this is a start-up distributor in Missouri, there will be many tasks required to get the job done that will not be listed here.

Qualifications include:

- Live in Greater Kansas City and have recent distributor or supplier adult beverage business experience in Missouri.
- Experience managing a wholesaler sales team in Missouri preferred.
- Experience with pricing, programming and inventory management.
- Strong knowledge and passion for wine & spirits from around the world.
- Strong knowledge of alcohol laws in the state of Missouri.
- Strong relationships with key buyers and accounts, both on and off-premise, including chains.
- Proven sales record throughout career and ability to influence the marketplace.
- Proficiency working with variety of software, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Encompass, etc.
- Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. as required.
- Valid driver's license.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Attainment of Goals.
- Hire, train and develop new sales representatives as the company expands
- Communicate and execute the business plan
- Lead & Motivate Sales team to grow account base and meet budgeted sales targets
- Develop and Implement pricing, programming, and sales incentives with our suppliers
- Develop lasting relationships with customers to grow loyalty
- Communicate with purchasing to monitor inventory levels
- Conduct sales meetings/training seminars for sales team & customers
- Build on our portfolio of products while establishing pricing strategy for existing portfolio in conjunction with the CCO
- Organize & Manage special events, supplier visits, tastings, blitzes, etc.
- Develop and Present quarterly business reviews to management.
