This exciting opportunity for a Brand Manager provides responsibility for brand management, identity and performance of multiple key or luxury tier brands, including strategies for pricing, POS, advertising, trade promotions and digital marketing for assigned brands. You will also get to create or oversee the creation of promotional collateral and information materials to provide to the sales team and online for use in selling specific brands. Your skills at managing sales strategies, presentations and utilizing data will propel your brands with enhanced sales and marketing strategies. Upon implementation, you will also get to track and measure the impact your programs have on the brands, through performance and ROI analysis presented to the suppliers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*:
Critical Tasks – Brand Planning: (60%)
• Manage the supplier relationship for assigned brands, with positive effective communication. Understand the family and brand stories, integrating such information into brand strategies and planning tools and activities. Apply direction to all: Inventory, pricing and programming needs for each family. Make sure all pricing & programming is understood, executed and recapped.
• Create and execute annual and long-range marketing plans, brand programs and brand assets for assigned brands. This should include evaluating market opportunities for new channels, product additions or packaging updates. Provide ROI review of key marketing programs quarterly, bi-monthly KPI reporting and tracking, regularly develop and maintain innovative POS programs and partnerships.
• Update and create or oversee creation of marketing promotional collateral based on established brand standards. Manage designers, photographers, copywriters and other external partners in coordination with marketing projects. Integrate creative selling materials and programs into trade facing website and distributor platforms. Gather and track post-launch feedback and metrics to incorporate into future program development. Manage projects budget
Assemble the ‘teams’ to identify, create and deploy the right programs based on brand needs.
• Works closely with Supply Chain to optimize forecasting based on accurate marketing and sales trends/plans. ‘Owns’ the inventory in the warehouse; depletes existing vintage before moving on to the next vintage. Manage inventory to avoid fire sales while exceeding average gross margins.
Digital Marketing (10%)
• Manage or oversee the updates, service and maintenance and operation of, and ensure the accuracy of consumer-interfacing websites such as Vivino and ‘where to buy’ inquiries using the Grappos tool on the company’s consumer website and associated microsites. Ensure 24 hour response time.
• Conduct analysis and research that focuses on areas such as sales and marketing promotions, velocity, competitive set analysis. Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) regarding current market trends and data mining during the planning and business review meetings. Provide monthly reports to all teams.
• Lead, develop and assist wholesalers and retailers to develop appropriate and targeted marketing strategies for designated brands. Provide national, regional and local trade marketing/brand support, including programming, business reviews, market analysis or IRI data, and segmenting customers by strategic importance to align resources and opportunities. Provide ROI review of key marketing programs quarterly, maintain innovative POS programs.
Miscellaneous (30%)
• Act as the Brand Manager for Key Priority Suppliers
• Be the subject matter expert (SME) to other Brand Managers, leading the development of additional talent resources within Quintessential.
• Develop key account relationships that deliver measurable results.
• Lead Supplier business reviews.
• Responsible for participating in and presenting our priority wines, on all RFP’s from national chain buyers
• Work with key assigned teams to deliver monthly goals (work-withs, product training samples, staff tastings, etc.)
• Create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions at established customer accounts (e.g., winemaker dinners, product launches, and tastings)
• Call directly on key on- and off-premise accounts to achieve monthly and annual velocity goals.
• Conduct market work with sales team as needed.
• Ad hock packaging updates, distributor requests, manage supplier market visits to ensure effectiveness of trips.
• Cultivate cross department relationships to develop your ‘team’ of experts, Sales, PR, Finance and go-to partners.
• Spend time in the market with sales to drive understanding of local trends and assist in the development of marketing materials.
• Maintain accuracy and keep current the trade site areas of “What’s New” and Distributor lists no less than bi-weekly. Manage service provider responsible for microsites (Tropical, New Age, Geyser Peak, etc.). Evaluate and share Google analytics information for possible changes in execution strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: BA/BS or greater in Business, Marketing or Liberal Arts or equivalent, and/or a minimum of 7+ years in a wine marketing or wine sales management role, with regular increases in responsibility.
