Morrell & Company, a New York wine institution recently relocated to Briarcliff Manor, is seeking a seasoned Fine Wine Salesperson to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a passion for fine wine, a strong commitment to exceptional client service, and the ability to manage and grow a substantial book of business.
As a key member of our fine wine client relations team, you will work closely with clients on a one-on-one basis, delivering personalized service, driving significant sales volume, and contributing to the continued growth and reputation of Morrell & Company.
Position Expectations
The Salesperson is expected to be proficient in the following areas:
-Manage a personal book of clients, maintaining regular communication (weekly to monthly) and facilitating annual sales in excess of $1.5MM
-Deliver highly personalized, one-on-one sales experiences with clients via phone, email, and in-store
-Demonstrate a deeply customer-service-driven mindset, with a willingness to go above and beyond to meet client needs
-Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment while remaining organized and able to multitask effectively
-Speak confidently and knowledgeably about all major global wine-producing regions
-Work efficiently in a computer-driven environment, leveraging technology to support and grow sales
-Actively continue learning by tasting, studying, and participating in on-site and off-site sales tastings to deepen wine knowledge
Responsibilities
-Build, maintain, and deepen long-term relationships with clients by understanding their preferences and wine-related goals
-Grow and expand Morrell & Company’s market presence and client base
-Anticipate and expand clients’ wine-related needs through thoughtful recommendations and cross-selling
-Support the sales floor, client relations team, and call center as needed
-Collaborate with colleagues and participate in strategic planning for the sales team
Desired Skills and Experience
-Proven ability to cultivate trust-based, long-term client relationships
-Strong fine wine knowledge with ongoing awareness of industry trends and Morrell & Company inventory
-Demonstrated success in consultative sales and cross-selling wine-related products or services
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Position Details
-Full-time position: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
-Hourly compensation plus sales commission
