2026 Harvest Crew Wanted
Come get sticky, tired and really good at making Oregon Wine!
We are putting together our 2026 Harvest Crew; we are looking for enthusiastic and detailed oriented folks to join us for the season here at Elk Cove Vineyards.
The team we’re building (6 total roles):
• 1 White Press Supervisor
-Operating the 2 white grape presses (Bert and Ernie)
-Prior experience required
-Forklift experience required
• 1 Enologist/Cellar Hybrid
-Assist in the running of the lab
-Prior experience required
-Forklift experience required
• 4 Full Cellar Interns
-Be a part of all aspects of the grape to wine process in the winery
-Includes but not limited to pump overs, punch downs, racking, lots of cleaning
-No experience needed.
6-12 weeks, depending on the season and start dates will vary. Experienced interns will start early September and will hit the ground running. Those new to the industry will start late August, to get familiar with the facility and the duties of the role.
Required skills and experience:
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and motivation
• Thrive in a fast paced, quality-focused environment
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Enjoy being a part of a team and creating a product from raw materials
• Basic harvest skills including (but not limited to): pump overs, punch downs, press loading and cleaning, racking, additions, inoculations, tank cleaning, drain cleaning and power washing
• Eagerness to work with Pinot Noir - you will be babysitting a lot of Pinot Noir in small batches all the way to barrel.
Additional skills a plus:
• Awesome work playlist for sharing

• Forklift experience (required for the White Press Supervisor, Enologist/Cellar role and one Cellar Intern)

Who are we?
Elk Cove Vineyards is surrounded by wilderness and named for our local herd of Roosevelt Elk. We aim to be a sustainable business by honoring the importance of people, planet and profit. Now in the second generation of ownership with Adam Campbell at the helm, Elk Cove has grown into one of the largest wineries in Oregon. We also have a sister winery, Pike Road that focuses on affordable wines and collaboration with small farms. Elk Cove team members have found opportunities to grow within our company in the vineyard, production, sales and winery operations, with an average tenure of 9 years.
Meet the Production team
• Adam (30 years)- Owner and Head Winemaker (Elk Cove)
• Heather (20 years)- Associate Winemaker (Elk Cove/ Head Winemaker (Pike Road); the brain behind harvest, the brain of the lab, and resident game planner
• John (12 years)- Cellar Lead; press pad guru, crossflow king and general encyclopaedia
• Evelyn (3 years)- Bottling & Cellar Supervisor; sorting table queen and bottling line pro
• Megan (1 year)- Cellar Supervisor; intern wrangler, multi-vintage international harvest alum and PM shift captain (she ensures you get fed)
Together we have well over 100 years of combined hands on winemaking experience, and we are excited to share our knowledge and skills to make this harvest one of your best.
