Our winery been producing award-winning wines and just finished a record year. Our business model is unique and quite successful. As a family-owned and operated business, we pride ourselves on creating a collaborative and dynamic work environment where employees are treated like extended family. We are known for our master blending, diverse varietal production, and fast-paced, hands-on winemaking style.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Winemaker who has an extraordinary palette, and the skill necessary to blend award winning wines. You’ll work directly with our Founder for feed back on wines and be involved in every step of our production process. You must have hands on bottling experience and can operate a bottling line if necessary. We are a unique winery with half our production in our own brands, the other half of our business is shiners and private label wines. All crushing and fermentation is out sourced. We barrel age wines, blend them to perfection and bottle on site.

Job Description
We’re seeking a dynamic and driven Winemaker who will take full responsibility for the production and quality of our wines. You will manage all aspects of winemaking operations, oversee cellar staff, and play a pivotal role in continuing the legacy of handcrafted, premium wine. You’ll be involved in planning, executing, and refining production methods while collaborating with our owner to blend and bottle award winning wines.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of winemaking operations, including blending and quality control, crushing is out sourced.
- Supervise and train cellar staff during all stages of production - Manage inventory, and maintain production schedules.
- Oversee wine movements, barrel programs, fermentations, additions, and lab analysis
- Conduct blending sessions and new product development
- Oversee and ( operate if necessary) our bottling line.
- Manage supplies and inventory
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to align production with marketing needs - Compliance and record keeping and data base

Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Enology, Viticulture, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of winemaking experience
- Demonstrated experience managing a small team and production schedule
- Forklift certified; experienced running a bottling line.
- Proficiency in winery software and Microsoft Office
- Strong tasting ability and blending intuition, and knowledge of wines
- Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Organizational skills
- Spanish language skills highly desired - Lab experience - Good written and orals skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a forklift

Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and carry 55 lbs
- Comfortable working in both warm and cool environments
- Capable of standing, climbing, bending, and working on ladders and wet surfaces
