Ashes & Diamonds Winery is seeking an experienced, motivated, and personable professional to lead and grow our direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales channels. This role is responsible for driving revenue across onsite, wine club, and digital platforms through proactive customer engagement, strategic sales planning, and targeted email and SMS marketing campaigns for new releases and key initiatives. The position will also oversee the performance and evolution of the wine club, with a focus on member acquisition, retention, and long-term brand loyalty within an increasingly competitive DTC wine landscape.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Owns and executes the overall DTC sales strategy across onsite, wine club, eCommerce, and remote sales channels
• Plans, develops, executes, and improves outbound phone sales campaigns and strategies
• Manages technical side of email marketing campaigns (ie. audience segmentation, contact list updates, campaign delivery)
• Handles the planning and execution of the semi-annual wine club releases
• Analyzes customer data, purchasing behavior, and campaign performance to inform strategic decisions and optimize ROI
• Oversees pricing, promotions, and offer strategy for DTC channels while maintaining brand integrity and margin goals
• Supports the development and execution of targeted email sales campaigns to drive DTC revenue and customer engagement.
• Leads TR sales trainings, check-ins, and sends out wine club MTD email updates and forecasts for the TR
• Assists with website P2P optimization. website product ordering and continued maintenance
• Manages departmental budgets to ensure goals are met monthly based off of marketing strategies
• Main point of contact for all member services via email and phone
• Database management: collect, accurately input, and update information in customer database and all associated systems
• Generates reports for sales, hospitality, and club channels as needed
• Monitor inventory, compliance, and order fulfilment databases.
• Provides performance reporting for third-party phone campaigns & email marketing campaigns
• Creatively develops relationships with vendors, competitors, third-party sales platforms, and referral partners that enhance our brand and expand our pool of customers
• Take the initiative for self-development in the areas of our wines, our brands, general hospitality, marketing, and acquiring effective sales techniques and acumen.
• Monitors industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and evolving DTC best practices within the wine industry
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in DTC, hospitality or wholesale wine sales with priority put on inbound/outbound telephone sales experience and email sales marketing with a “blue jeans, white glove” style of hospitality.
• Cares deeply about the member/customer experience and loves using tools to enhance personalization and track preferences
• Able to bridge cross-departmental gaps and work on teams
• Working occasional weekends for key member events
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently and creatively to achieve department objectives.
• Intermediate knowledge of wine and wine production techniques (WSET, CMS, CSW preferred).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications, ChatGPT, and C7
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform all related duties as assigned.
• Consistent communication and coordination with the hospitality, operations, and concierge teams
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Stand on hard surface for extended periods.
• Grasp, stoop, squat, climb stairs, push or pull, carry and reach over shoulder.
• Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
