The Duckhorn Portfolio is North America’s premier luxury wine company, with eleven wineries, ten state-of-the-art winemaking facilities, five tasting rooms and over 2,200 coveted acres of vineyards spanning 37 Estate properties. Sourcing grapes from our own Estate vineyards and fine growers in Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Anderson Valley, California’s North and Central coasts, Oregon and Washington State, we offer a curated and comprehensive portfolio of acclaimed luxury wines with price points ranging from $20 to $230 across more than 15 varietals. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the Manager, FP&A will partner with key stakeholders to lead and manage The Duckhorn Portfolio’s (TDP’s) financial planning, analysis and reporting activities. This position plays a key role developing appropriate and useful financial management tools and metrics to track performance, conduct risk analysis, and develop short and long-term financial strategies. The Manager, FP&A provides internal management information, analyses, modeling and reporting they need for routine and ad hoc business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning and analysis activities.

What we will ask you to do:
•  Lead portions of the budgeting and forecasting processes, working with department heads to build key assumptions.
•  Work closely with cost accounting and supply planning teams to develop Cost of Goods forecast and analysis.
•  Support analysis of financial and operational results to better understand company performance.
•  Review previous and existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts and implementing future budgets.
•  Produce models to project short, medium, and long-term growth for the business.
•  Identify, recommend, and implement productivity or cost-saving initiatives.
•  Work interdepartmentally on ad hoc requests.
•  Be involved in development and delivery of business performance analyses and reporting.
•  Prepare and supervise preparation of routine internal and board financial reporting.
•  Utilize Anaplan planning application, developing ability to adjust and create formulas in the system.
•  Attend supply planning and production review meetings for any notable developments.
•  Conduct cost-benefit analyses.
•  Review indicators of business activity published by the government and trade associations.
•  Create forecasts of future business conditions using multiple scenarios.
•  Stay abreast of developments in the wine industry.

What you will need:
•  Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or CPA a plus.
•  Demonstrated analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Strong quantitative skills that include financial analysis, forecasting, & modeling.
•  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations that are often ambiguous.
•  Strong communication skills: written and oral. Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
•  Ability to clearly describe business drivers in written form.
•  Comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team.
•  Strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
•  Advanced skills in Excel, proficient skills in Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint are required.
•  Experience with Anaplan, Microsoft NAV, and Power BI a plus.
