Covert Estate, a premium, family owned, winery located in the Coombsville AVA focusing on high end Cabernet Sauvignon, is looking for one additional harvest intern to round out our production team. The qualified candidate will be involved in many different aspects of winemaking. Our team is small which allows for each team member to gain plenty of experience at all facets of harvest production.

1-2 previous harvest experience is preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to work 40 hours a week plus overtime as required
Be able to lift at least 50 lbs, kneel, bend, climb ladders
Stand for extended periods of time
Work well in a small team and work independently
Forklift experience is a plus


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness
Set up and break down processing equipment
Perform daily Brix/Temp and must additions
Pump overs and punchdowns
Drains and dig outs
Extensive barrel work: placing on rails, filling, steaming etc.
Tank cleaning
All standard harvest activities


This ideal person for this position is passionate about wine, looking to fine tune production skills and looking to work with high quality fruit. Must be diligent, organized and have sanitation and safety at the forefront.
