We are one of the leading wine estates in the Balearic Islands, producing terroir-driven wines under a distinctive and established brand with growing domestic and international recognition. The estate is fully operational, professionally equipped, and widely regarded as a key reference within the regional fine-wine landscape.

This role offers the opportunity to actively drive the success of one of the Balearic Islands’ leading wine estates, combining technical excellence with brand visibility and long-term impact.

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting winemaker and viticulturist who thrives on responsibility, enjoys full autonomy, and is willing to go the extra mile to elevate a first-class wine project. The Role

This is a senior, hands-on leadership position combining full responsibility for winemaking and viticulture, with meaningful exposure to sales, brand representation, and market-facing activities. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping wine style, vineyard strategy, and the continued relevance of the brand.
The role is particularly well suited to an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong technical foundations, and the ambition to contribute well beyond a narrowly defined job description.

Key Responsibilities

Winemaking & Cellar Operations

- Full ownership of the vinification process from harvest through ageing and bottling
- Planning and execution of fermentation, pressing, malolactic fermentation, and wine transfers
- Execution of internal laboratory analyses and interpretation of results
- Coordination and validation of analyses with external laboratory partners
- Barrel management, including selection, purchasing, racking, topping, and quality control
- Preparation and participation in blending decisions
- Management of stabilisation, bottling, labelling, and packaging
- Continuous optimisation of cellar workflows and infrastructure

Viticulture

- Overall responsibility for vineyard management and quality outcomes
- Pruning, canopy management, yield regulation, and harvest decisions
- Pest and disease monitoring and management
- Soil analysis and implementation of nutrition and cover-crop strategies
- Collection and analysis of vineyard and climate data
- Close collaboration with vineyard staff and seasonal labour

Sales, Brand & Market Exposure

- Acting as a key ambassador for the estate and its wines in local and international markets
- Active participation in tastings, fairs, trade events, and winery visits
- Direct interaction with clients, distributors, importers, and partners
- Supporting sales strategy through technical expertise, storytelling, and relationship building
- Involvement in logistics, export coordination, and client-facing documentation

Administration & Compliance

- Primary contact for authorities and appellations
- Management of official harvest, production, and cellar documentation
- Budget oversight and cost control in collaboration with external advisors
- Implementation and use of digital traceability and data systems

Candidate Profile

- Relevant academic degree in Oenology, Viticulture, Agricultural Sciences, or equivalent
- Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience in winemaking and/or viticulture
- Strong technical foundation combined with hands-on operational ability
- Proven capacity to work independently and take initiative
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Fluent in English (required)
- Spanish proficiency strongly preferred (or willingness to learn)
- Additional languages considered an advantage
- Entrepreneurial, solution-oriented mindset with long-term perspective
