A Taste of What You'll Do

The Engineering department is searching for appropriate candidates to fill 6-month positions in our Internship Program. Working closely with Engineers throughout the company interns will be responsible for managing and leading projects in the following areas:

Potential roles are as follows:

Bottling Project Engineering

Manage projects from concept to startup and leverage cross-functional partners to deliver customer requirements across Gallo's bottling facilities.

Roles will vary but will include many of the following:

•  Execute projects following established project management processes while upholding safety and quality standards.
•  Learn how to operate equipment and develop training materials, including standard operating procedures, time studies, equipment capability and repeatability studies
•  Work on Engineering teams to identify issues, collect appropriate supporting data, develop, and present improvement ideas, and implement solutions.
•  Lead "Root Cause Analysis" investigations when unplanned downtime occurs.
•  Develop and maintains relationship and communication between suppliers, engineers, technical planners, storeroom, mechanics and production line workers.
•  Present findings to other functions within the company and seeks feedback.
•  Multi-task and prioritize time appropriately between different projects.

What You'll Need

•  Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Management OR possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Management.
•  Available for the entire duration of the internship program (6 consecutive months).
•  Requires availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
•  Required to have reliable transportation to and from work.
•  Required to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
•  Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
•  Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

•  Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Management.
•  Strong applied technical skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
•  Good oral and written communication skills.
•  Excellent organizational and team skills and experience managing multiple assignments.
•  Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects).
•  Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods.
•  Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving skills.
