A Taste of What You'll Do

We're hiring a results-driven Market Development Manager On-Premise Wine to execute the sales plan, drive revenue, and maximize contribution for Gallo Winery across one or multiple assigned states. You will manage product sales to retail accounts through distributor partners, act as the Gallo brand ambassador, and build strong, collaborative relationships with distributor teams and retail customers. Your work will balance winery-facing strategy-developing field pricing, analyzing market data, and advising directors-with distributor and field execution-negotiating objectives, implementing national programs, and optimizing resources toward the highest opportunity.

In this role you will lead pricing and forecasting, coordinate new item launches and POS ordering, deliver sales and product training, and represent our brands at tastings and consumer events. You'll use data and tools like Account 360 to identify opportunities, make strategic decisions, and reallocate effort as market dynamics shift. You will manage expenses responsibly, support digital marketing commercialization, and ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards.

What You'll Need

•  Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
•  Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
•  Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
•  Required to travel by air and car in order to execute job functions.
•  Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform wine tastings as part of job functions.
•  Required to be 21 years of age or older.
•  Required to Travel by air and automobile up to 25% during the course of business.
•  Experience demonstrating strong leadership, selling, time management, and public speaking skills.
•  Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

•  Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales experience to include a prior rotation as a Spirits Development Specialist, Spirits Development Specialist Sr, Business Intelligence Analyst Sr, Market Development Manager, Market Development Manager Sr, or Account Manager 1; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of external alcohol sales experience to include on-premise experience.
•  Experience selling or marketing Gallo brands.
