We are seeking a strategic, innovative Director of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue growth, brand development, and market expansion as we establish Neverstill as a standout boutique winery in the region and beyond.

Position Overview
The Director of Sales & Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for driving both commercial success and brand visibility across wholesale, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels. This leader will oversee the full sales pipeline, shape the brand’s marketing identity, and execute integrated strategies that strengthen Neverstill’s presence in a competitive market.
This position requires a dynamic, highly motivated individual with deep sales experience, strong marketing instincts, and a passion for storytelling through wine.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy across wholesale, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels to exceed revenue goals.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with distributors, wine shops, restaurants, and hospitality partners.
• Build and maintain high-value relationships with trade accounts, influencers, and key industry stakeholders.
• Oversee pricing, contract negotiations, and distribution agreements while protecting margins and positioning.
• Lead and manage the growth of e-commerce, wine club programs, corporate gifting, and subscription sales.
• Partner with production and winemaking teams to forecast inventory and plan seasonal releases.

Marketing & Brand Development
• Own, manage and elevate the Neverstill brand across all customer touchpoints—digital, on-site, visual, and experiential.
• Develop and execute an annual marketing plan including campaigns, content strategy, PR initiatives, and partnership opportunities.
• Oversee social media direction, content calendars, storytelling, and brand voice—ensuring alignment with the winery’s understated luxury aesthetic.
• Manage creation of digital assets (email campaigns, website content, product storytelling, release notes, etc.).
• Lead brand activations such as release events, tasting experiences, partnerships, and off-site pop-ups.
• Work with operations and tasting room teams to ensure a cohesive, elevated guest experience aligned with brand standards.
• Represent the winery at trade shows, industry events, festivals, and consumer-facing experiences.
• Evaluate and manage marketing budgets, ad spend, promotional initiatives, and ROI metrics.

Operations & Reporting
• Monitor sales performance, consumer trends, and competitive landscape to refine strategies.
• Produce regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state alcohol regulations across sales and marketing functions.
• Collaborate closely with leadership to support product development, packaging, and pricing strategies.
• Work with Operations Manager to provide leadership, direction, and training for sales representatives, tasting room staff, and marketing support roles.

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
• 3+ years of management experience in wine, spirits, or beverage industry sales.
• Marketing, brand management, or DTC/e-commerce experience mandatory
• Startup or small-business experience is a significant plus.
Knowledge
• Strong understanding of wine sales and distribution networks.
• Experience with brand development, digital marketing, and consumer engagement.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, POS software, social media channels, Mailchimp and other DTC tools, and e-commerce platforms.
Skills
• Proven ability to build and grow business relationships.
• Strong communication, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in a dynamic, small-team, hands-on environment.
• Data-driven with the ability to translate analytics into strategy.
• Creative thinker with a polished sense of brand and customer experience.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Industry certifications (WSET, CSW, CMS) are a plus.
Other Requirements
• Ability to travel throughout New York and occasionally nationally.
• Availability for evenings and weekends as needed for events, travel, and releases.
