A Taste of What You'll Do
The goal of the Internship Program is to provide an avenue to students to gain business experience in a world-class research and manufacturing organization. This is open to undergraduate and master's students majoring in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University. Students will have the opportunity to work alongside professional technology managers, gaining valuable hands-on expertise in a variety of areas at the Winery.
The Stanford Process Technology Development Internship Program is searching for appropriate candidates to fill 3-month positions (approximately late June through September) within our Process Technology Department. Interns will work with cross-functional teams, including operations, winemaking, engineering and operators to execute a cutting-edge technology project undertaken during the 3-month period. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a lab or production environment and increase your skill base for future employment or graduate school. Working closely with cross functional teams, interns' essential functions are as follows:
• Assist in the research, development and scale-up of new and cutting-edge technologies for the Winery.
• Participate in technology projects and assist in managing ongoing development project.
What You'll Need
• Currently enrolled at Stanford University in a Junior or Senior class standing working towards a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; OR currently enrolled at Stanford University working towards a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Commit to working for a minimum of ten (10) weeks, starting approximately late June 2026 through September 2026.
• Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver's license based on the position's location within 30 days of hire.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Required to lift and move up to 40 lbs when necessary.
• Required to work at heights of 50 feet, on tops of tanks inspecting wine surfaces when necessary.
• Required to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
