Position Overview:
The Regional Manager – Northeast; is a key sales leader responsible for driving brand presence, activation, and market execution across major strategic markets in the Northeast, with a special focus on Boston, Chicago, and Washington DC markets. Acting as the company’s “eyes & ears in the market,” this individual will work closely as an intermediary between the Sales Director and our distributor partners, retail & on-premise key accounts, as well as regional chain buyers to ensure the successful representation of our portfolio of estates. The ideal candidate combines a strong commercial mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and deep wine knowledge. He/she will be responsible for implementing sales & marketing plans, driving growth, executing distributor programming, leading key events, and ensuring strong visibility & velocity for our prestigious estates.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Distributor Activation & Market Execution
•  Lead all distributor-facing activities in the territory, including:
•  GSMs, work-withs, training sessions
•  Winemaker dinners, portfolio tastings, in store tastings, and staff education
•  Market blitzes, incentive launches, and programming follow-up
•  Ensure full alignment and flawless execution of activation plans with each distributor.
•  Track performance, provide feedback, and manage quarterly priorities with distributor management teams.

2. Market Activation & Brand Building
•  Own the activation calendar for the Northeast region.
•  Coordinate and execute events, tastings, sampling programs, and by-the-glass initiatives.
•  Champion our Estates’ stories, terroirs, and winemaking philosophies to all stakeholders.
•  Ensure consistent and premium brand representation across accounts and events.

3. Key Account Development
•  Spend at least 60% of time in the field across Boston, Chicago, DC, and other strategic sub-markets.
•  Build strong relationships with:
•  Top independent retailers
•  Fine-dining and wine-oriented restaurants
•  Influential sommeliers and beverage directors
•  Identify gaps, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
•  Secure new placements and improve quality of distribution.

4. Chains & Regional Accounts
•  Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional chain buyers across retail and on-premise.
•  Present new items, seasonal programs, and promotional plans.
•  Track execution in stores, work with distributor chain teams, and reinforce programming compliance.

5. Stakeholder Engagement
•  Serve as the primary ambassador for our estates in the Northeast.
•  Engage with sommeliers, trade groups, wine educators, media when needed, and market influencers.
•  Ensure strong communication between the field, distributors, and internal teams (marketing, supply, sales).

6. Market Intelligence
•  Act as the company’s eyes and ears in the market:
•  Track competitor activity
•  Identify new trends and channel opportunities
•  Report market insights and risks
•  Provide regular field recaps and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills
•  2+ years of U.S. wine industry experience; ideally in importer, distributor, or winery role.
•  Proven success in field sales, trade marketing, or distributor management.
•  Strong wine knowledge (WSET or equivalent preferred) and passionate about our Estates and regions.
•  Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
•  Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and results-driven.
•  Able to travel extensively (minimum 60%).
