Position Summary: The Warehouse Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and directing the flow of goods, materials, and staff within the distribution warehouse to ensure timely and efficient operations. This role involves creating and adjusting schedules for inbound and outbound shipments, monitoring inventory, and collaborating with various departments to meet customer demand and operational goals.
Schedule: Four 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm, Some overtime mandatory when required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Create, maintain, and publish daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for distribution warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, order picking and packing, and outbound delivery scheduling and dispatching for our in-house driver.
• Schedule delivery appointments with 3PL partners.
• Create inbounds at Biagi and enter the transfer paperwork into Business Central (BC), print pick tickets and BOL’s.
• Coordinate loading with our forklift driver and be responsible for double checking all loads and materials shipping out, ensuring paperwork accuracy.
• Pick and pack Samples for UPS/FEDEX and drop off at shipping locations.
• Request Temp workers and verify timecards, working with the leads to ensure their labor needs are met in each department.
• Support Production as needed daily.
• Coordinate and execute repacks and reworks utilizing and directing temporary labor (includes over stickering bottles, applying outer case labels, palletizing and wrapping pallets by hand).
• Drive company vehicles to drop off and/or pick up materials and strap loads to safely transport.
• Maintain and reorder supplies, pallets, shrink wrap, case goods inventory, labels, etc. by running inventory reports and performing counts to accurately replenish inventories.
• Coordinate disposal of office/breakroom/lab/bathroom trash on a regular schedule in compliance with Napa County requirements.
• Oversee general organization and cleanliness of warehouse.
• Correspond daily via Outlook email and utilize MS Word and Excel to perform tasks.
• Actively abide by all HACCP and ISO programs as part of SB compliance.
• Assist with other distribution responsibilities as requested and perform special assignments and other duties as required.
Education/Experience/Skills/Attributes:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• 2-3 years of winery experience preferred.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to handle a demanding workload, tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities at once while maintaining productivity and composure under pressure.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Forklift experience preferred or able to be trained and certified.
Requirements:
• Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently.
• Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
• Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all applicable laws; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under SB’s insurance policy.
