Cellar & Warehouse Assistant
FULL TIME, Hourly
Location: Walla Walla, WA (On-site at Leonetti) – this is not a remote position
Reports to: Cellar Master
Start date: Tuesday, January 6, 2026
Shift & hours: Monday – Friday from 7am – 3:30pm with ½ hour lunch break with seasonal variations during harvest and bottling.
Compensation: $23/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cellar & Warehouse Assistant to support our winemaking and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on, task-focused role that provides essential day-to-day assistance to our Cellar Master. It is well-suited for someone who enjoys physical work, consistency, and contributing to a high-functioning production environment. This position plays a vital long-term role in our cellar and warehouse operations, supporting the experienced team that leads our winemaking program.
Key Responsibilities
General Winery Operations
• Clean and sanitize winery equipment, tanks, barrels, and facility spaces.
• Operate and maintain winery equipment such as pumps, pressure washers, presses, de-stemmers, filters, and bottling line components under the direction of the Cellar Master.
• Safely operate a forklift to move bins, tanks, barrels, and pallets.
Harvest
• Assist with grape sampling, fruit sorting, and crush pad operations.
• Support fermentation management including pump-overs, punch-downs, and nutrient additions.
• Assist with pressing, barreling down, and other routine harvest tasks.
Wine Aging & Bottling
• Perform SO2 additions, topping, racking, and filtration.
• Assist with bottling operations on a mobile bottling line.
• Maintain empty barrels and contribute to cellar upkeep and organization.
Shipping & Fulfillment
• Accurately pack and prepare wine shipments with consistent attention to detail.
• Maintain warehouse organization, including cleaning up and organizing shipping materials during seasonal fulfillment periods.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in winery cellar or production work required. Company specific training will be provided.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain winery equipment and forklift (certification or willingness to obtain required).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
• Dependable, self-directed, and comfortable with repetitive or routine tasks.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work extended hours during harvest.
• Must be fluent or conversational in English.
Working Conditions
• Work takes place indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
• Seasonal demands may include extended hours, weekends, and overtime during harvest.
• The role requires physical activity, including lifting, bending, climbing, and equipment operation.
