POSITION: REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES – ALLIANCE DIVISION

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Regional Vice President (RVP) is responsible for leading all sales and brand development initiatives across one of three designated geographic regions. This role includes direct oversight of Area Managers and District Managers, with full accountability for regional business performance. The RVP develops and executes strategic plans to drive efficient and effective results, formulates competitive pricing strategies, expands distribution across all trade channels, and ensures sustained growth in market share and profitability.

MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
The Regional Vice President of Sales is charged with driving sustainable growth and operational excellence across the assigned region. This role focuses on maximizing revenue, expanding market share, and enhancing brand presence through strategic leadership, effective team development, and disciplined execution. By leveraging deep market insights, distributor partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration, the RVP ensures alignment with company goals while delivering measurable results in sales performance, profitability, and customer engagement.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Financial Management
•  Serve as a key member of the senior sales leadership team, contributing to organizational profitability and strategic direction.
•  Set and achieve regional sales goals while managing within established budgets.
•  Make data-informed decisions to enhance financial performance, including oversight of P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and deal structures.
•  Lead the development of financial and volume budgets, analyzing expenditures and market data to inform strategy, pricing, and promotional needs.
Sales Execution & Market Development
•  Drive depletion and profitability targets across the region.
•  Collaborate with Area and District Managers to develop strategic pricing tailored to individual markets.
•  Oversee inventory forecasting and ensure adequate stock levels to meet sales objectives.
•  Leverage distributor and market insights to align regional efforts with company goals and maximize performance.
Team Development & Performance Management
•  Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports, holding Area Managers accountable for team performance and goal achievement.
•  Build and lead a high-performing, customer-focused sales team with a strong results-oriented culture.
•  Define clear accountability standards, delegate effectively, and ensure teams are equipped with the necessary resources to succeed.
•  Monitor progress and coordinate cross-functional efforts to remove obstacles and drive execution.
Culture & Compliance
•  Model ethical leadership and uphold consistent values and behaviors across all business interactions.
•  Ensure alignment with Rodney Strong Wine Estates’ culture, policies, and compliance standards, including adherence to federal and state regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
•  Partner with the Leadership Team on staffing strategies, recruitment, performance management, career development, and training initiatives.
•  Collaborate with Marketing to shape sales strategy and develop programs that respond to evolving market opportunities.
Relationship Management & Strategic Planning
•  Cultivate and strengthen relationships with executive decision-makers at key distributors and accounts.
•  Identify high-impact strategies and prioritize team efforts to capitalize on market and competitive opportunities.
•  Perform additional duties as required to support regional growth and profitability.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•  Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution, or a combination of equivalent education and relevant experience.
•  5–10 years of progressive experience in the wine industry, ideally with both wholesale and supplier backgrounds; prior experience within the assigned region is preferred.
•  Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) designation preferred.
•  Demonstrated success in achieving volume and profitability targets.
•  Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, with a track record of delivering financial and execution goals in businesses exceeding $25M in annual revenue.
•  Expertise in identifying new business opportunities, developing accurate forecasts, setting distributor objectives, addressing performance gaps, and monitoring results.
•  Experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional teams.
•  Strong business acumen with advanced analytical and data-driven selling capabilities.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with syndicated data platforms such as IRI and Nielsen.
•  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
•  Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with willingness to travel up to 50%.
•  Ability to lift and transport a case of wine as needed.
