Position Summary
Tabarrini Winery is seeking an Agronomist Stagiaire focused on vineyard and farm-system work. This is a field-based, hands-on internship in hillside vineyards, working closely with the vineyard team and Giampaolo Tabarrini to see how agronomic decisions shape the character of Montefalco Sagrantino and other estate wines.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in seasonal vineyard operations: pruning, shoot thinning, leaf removal, green harvest
• Assist with monitoring vine growth, phenology, ripeness, and crop estimation
• Support soil and ground cover management, including cover crops and erosion control
• Help with disease and pest scouting and basic data collection/record-keeping
• Join vineyard walks and tastings with Giampaolo to connect field conditions with wine style
• Limited cellar exposure during harvest to understand vine-to-wine impact
Ideal Candidate
• Student or recent graduate in agronomy/viticulture or related field
• Strong interest in grape growing, soil/vine health, and Mediterranean viticulture
• Comfortable with outdoor physical work in varied weather and terrain
• Good working English; Italian is a plus but not required
