Territory Manager Mid-Atlantic
The Marchetti Company is an established national importer of European fine wines, and marketing agent for Ozeki Sake. We are seeking a full-time account manager for an established multi-state, Mid-Atlantic based territory. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Travel a minimum of two weeks per month in the Mid-Atlantic territory
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with distributor management and sales teams; on and off-premise accounts; and TMC colleagues
• Visit licensed accounts with distributor sales representatives
• Conduct sales meetings for distributor personnel to deepen their knowledge of our portfolio and build enthusiasm for our brands.
• Meet with distributor buyers to increase TMC/Ozeki skus within distributor portfolio
• Communicate regularly with TMC Sales and Marketing Team regarding market conditions/opportunities, and sales interactions
• Attend distributor trade shows
• Assist with account staff trainings, wine dinners, consumer tastings
• Continuously improve your knowledge of our portfolio and the wine market
• Occasionally perform above duties evenings and weekends, and for extended periods during peak seasons
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Public Speaking: Ability to lead structured and informative sales presentations and wine dinners with confidence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well-organized and detail oriented
• Thorough understanding of the fine wine market and advanced knowledge of Italian, French, Spanish, and German wines
• Sake Proficiency is necessary and can be further developed as needed.
• Minimum of three years experience in the supplier-side wine industry, preferably in sales
• Reside in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word
• 21 years of age or older
• Legally qualified to obtain state sales representative licenses, and work in the United States
• Hold a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Able to travel from home at least 10 days per month by air, train, and car
• Able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
COMPENSATION
• Commensurate with experience
• Base salary + commission
• Bonus dependent on company performance
• All business expenses are re-imbursed
