Walsh Family Wine – Club Specialist
Position Summary
The Club Specialist is responsible for the overall strategy, growth, and retention of Wine Club members. This is a dynamic role, and requires a blend of exceptional customer relationship management, sales acumen, and attention to logistics and administration. The Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for club members, driving the success of our most loyal customer base and maximizing Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) revenue. It is a near-full time to full time position, and will include a blend of weekends and weekdays.
Key Responsibilities
1. Membership Growth and Relationship Management
• Develop and execute plans to increase club membership enrollment and maximize member retention rates.
• Serve as the primary liaison for Wine Club members, providing high-touch, personalized service.
• Implement and manage member recognition programs to enhance the club experience.
• Monitor member feedback, analyze club metrics (cancellation rates, average order value), and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
2. Marketing and Events
• Plan, coordinate, and execute Wine Club exclusive events, including pickup parties, release dinners, and special tastings.
• Develop compelling, segmented communications, including newsletters, e-blasts, and promotional materials.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of[2-3 years of experience managing a wine club, direct-to-consumer sales, or a subscription-based program, preferably within the wine industry.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales and membership growth targets.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including a professional phone presence.
• Proven capacity for organization and problem-solving.
Preferred Attributes
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of viticulture and winemaking.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings for club events.
Physical Requirements
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (equivalent to a case of wine).
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
