A product of three local Napa families and their shared passion for site-driven wine, Mending Wall takes its name from the famous Robert Frost poem, symbolizing the idea of collaboration and unity in winemaking. The visionaries behind the winery alongside the expertise of acclaimed winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, have crafted a portfolio of limited-production wines that effortlessly embody the terroir of Napa Valley.

We are seeking a Brand Ambassador to be the face of our small, dynamic winery both at home and on the road. This role blends warm hospitality with logistical finesse - welcoming guests for private tasting experiences onsite as well as curating exceptional wine experiences and driving growth in target markets across the country. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and deeply organized, with a passion for connecting people to our wines and story. They should thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoy building meaningful, long-term relationships with clients and partners.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel / DTC Events

•  Plan, coordinate, and execute private wine dinners, tastings, and collector events in key markets across the country
•  Maintain detailed event calendars, guest lists, and follow-up communications
•  Actively participate in auctions and charitable events to promote brand awareness
•  Collaborate with the winemaking and sales teams to align event strategy with business goals
•  Manage in-market event logistics, including travel coordination, inventory, and on-site setup
•  Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Mending Wall with professionalism and enthusiasm at all events
•  Build and nurture relationships with clients, members, and trade partners to foster long-term engagement

Hospitality and Sales

•  Assist guests with booking tasting appointments; ensuring the calendar is up to date and all clients receive confirmation emails
•  Curate personalized tastings, providing an authentic and memorable guest experience
•  Assist with set-up and break-down of tasting spaces and maintaining overall winery appearance and aesthetic as directed
•  Conduct each sale from bottle to delivery (i.e. oversee the entire sales process through to customer receipt, including promptly addressing any issues that may arise)
•  Provide recommendations on food pairings, when to drink, how to store, and how to serve wines
•  Respond in a timely manner to all calls, texts, and emails inquiring about orders, shipping, tasting requests, etc.
•  Perform outreach campaigns (phone/SMS/email), delivering a targeted, sales-focused approach to generate DTC sales
•  Support the execution of all on-site events, including but not limited to winery dinners, member events, group lunches, etc.

Admin / Operational Support

•  Enter sales orders into an operating CRM system ensuring orders are complete and accurate
•  Maintain up-to-date consumer database (i.e. update payment information, billing/shipping addresses, etc.)
•  Set follow up tasks and make notes of customers’ preferences, purchasing habits and other sales opportunities
•  Assist with wine shipment logistics (i.e. packing of wine, re-routing of shipments, replacing broken shipments, scheduling pick-ups, and other shipping duties as necessary)
•  Develop and maintain strong relationships with other wineries, drivers, tour and transportation companies, high-end destination management companies, etc.
•  Print sales forms, menus and marketing materials
•  Other duties as necessary (i.e. supply pickup, lunches, wine drop-offs, third-party shipments, warehouse pickups)


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

•  Must be 21 years of age
•  Minimum 3 years of professional experience in luxury customer service/hospitality in wine or related Industry
•  Tech-savvy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
•  Previous experience with POS systems (eCellar an added bonus)
•  Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and problem-solve on the fly
•  Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
•  Strong communication skills and a polished, guest-facing demeanor
•  Self-starter; begin and carry through a project to successful implementation with minimal oversight
•  Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (case of wine)
•  Valid driver's license and reliable transportation


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•  Bachelor’s Degree
•  Existing industry relationships and ability to leverage local networks for guest experiences
•  Experience in event planning and coordinating personalized guest experiences
•  Familiarity with luxury service standards in a relaxed, residential settings
•  Previous experience leading estate tours and wine tastings
•  Deep knowledge of Napa Valley and Sonoma restaurant, winery, and hospitality landscape

Base Salary & Commission
$55k - $65k base salary BOE with 7% commission on wine sales revenue generated by your position. This position is expected to fulfill a standard 40-hour work week Thursday through Monday with some scheduling flexibility.
